And so, it is… this blog has been given life.

Here, by the grace of God, go I. And so, it came to be that my current transition from primarily giving golf lessons for a living and establishing myself as a Transformational Life Coach is gaining momentum. It’s taken several years of intense training and certifications in 3 disciplines of Life Coaching to get a grasp on how they fit together harmoniously. It’s like having a carful of children on a road trip all yelling, “Are we there yet?” It’s a good sign from the universe of my alignment with the things I love the most, guiding my clients to a life filled with joy, well-being, and fulfillment.

Seriously, the twists and turns on my journey of Getting Life Right have been profound. Just the idea of starting a new career is daunting and I have not taken it lightly. I have always been committed to quality and excellence in my career and have always stood on principle versus personal gain. It’s got to be that way, first class, and that’s why I chose to work with Nancy Levin as my life coach and mentor when I first started training in the summer of 2021 with Reinvention Life Coaching at Levin Life Coach Academy. As with any new project like remodeling your home, it’s always easier said than done. It seems simple in the idea stage and that’s the hook. If we knew beforehand how intricate and deceptively comprehensive the project would be, most of the time we wouldn’t do it.

When we do our research after the initial idea has been planted and germinated in our mind, we come face-to-face with the scope of it all.

Adaptive Golf to Adaptive Living

In 2022 I was certified by the PGA’s Project Hope as an Adaptive Golf Instructor. PGA Hope gives golf lessons to Disabled Veterans at no cost. It has proved to save lives, provide hope, and physical well-being to those Veterans who need it most. Many are suffering from PTSD, and all are disabled in some way from their service in the Armed Forces. Gratitude for their service is followed by getting involved with them at local golf courses to give them skills and the gift of being able to enjoy playing golf. It has lowered the staggering suicide rate of our honored heroes and I am glad beyond measure to be a part of PGA Hope.

The Tee Off

This is it! I’m on the sacred teeing ground on the first hole in my new phase of life where I begin blogging to raise awareness of the new path as a Transformational Life Coach, finishing my memoir titled Transformed: From Man to Woman; From Gutless to Outrageous, and providing digital online courses to improve the quality of life for those seeking to escape the closet of fear and unworthiness and live life authentically.

As most of you know, my initial transition from man to woman in 1995 opened a space in my life that led to me becoming a golf professional in 1997. Until then, I had experienced my own version of PTSD, which began in childhood. I suffered from ADHD, shame and unworthiness and the stigma of transgender which led me to becoming a teen alcoholic with a self-destructive lifestyle. With sabotage as my second nature, I drifted through life until I could no longer stand it and transitioned out of a life of hell in exchange for a life of hope, love, and acceptance.

Herein lies the foreground, the prequel to my life as a unique Life Coach committed to guiding those that are seeking the life they dream of on the other side of the river of fear, shame, and unworthiness.

Thanks for joining me in
Getting Life Right
